Welcome to Blue Moku Publishing, where we stir up great enthusiasm for reading and beyond!
Storybooks with captivating narratives, inspiring characters, and delightfully vivid illustrations are what we do best. We celebrate diversity and focus on appreciating the world around us.
As a mindful, independent publisher, we take great pride in the close relationships we create with our readers and distribution channels. Our products are crafted with love and care by a locally-based team in Canada.
Youth Writing Programs
Blue Moku Publishing is proud to offer writing programs for children and teens. We currently offer the following: Writing Adventures, Writing Champions, and Essay Explorers.
All classes are designed to build confidence and upgrade skills. We aim to foster creativity and critical thinking, as well as strengthen vocabulary and writing mechanics. For older students, we prepare them for high school essays by giving them a strong foundation through lectures and practice exercises. Lessons focus on thesis statements, paraphrasing, and structural organization.

Library and School Workshops
We have visited over 10 schools as part of our author/illustrator visits. Connecting with students and the community is important to us.
We also team up with public libraries to host writing workshops. At these workshops, we not only focus on writing, but on presenting as well. Students practice sharing their work and strengthening their public speaking skills.
We are always looking to contribute through literary and creative initiatives that empower children and youth.

Writing Programs
"Thank you so much for inspiring my children to look at writing in a new way. Your writing program is amazing and I wish it was a mandatory component in schools!" - Sharline G., Parent, Bridge Elementary
- Hui X., Parent, McKay Elementary
"My two 8-year-olds have taken Writing Adventures classes 5 times, starting in September 2021 until now. At first, they didn't like writing very much, but now they enjoy writing very much. Every time they come back from writing class, they tell me that writing is fun. They sometimes create stories at home and can write more than twenty pages. The stories they create are very interesting. Writing is a very important skill and I hope they can stick to it. I am very grateful to the teacher for stimulating children's creativity, teaching writing skills, and keeping children interested in writing." - Hui X., Parent, McKay Elementary
School Visits
"Students loved the interactive story time, and really enjoyed discussing overcoming their fears. They were engaged the entire presentation!" – Scott Jackson, Teacher, Errington Elementary

"What I liked most about this class is that I didn't feel pressured or nervous. I really liked learning at my own pace and the teacher is very nice." - Kaden, Grade 6, Errington Elementary
Essay Explorers Program
